The Peak, Inc. was established April 1, 2005, and is a Veteran’s Administration certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned and Operated small business, (VA Approved), developed to address Special Operating Forces (SOF) concerns and increase their effectiveness while operating in austere environments.
Realistic, scenario-based, operational training in a variety of environments has been the foundation for our success. Our team of over 30 instructors, all recognized experts in their fields of expertise, have provided high quality, state-of-the-art training to a variety of military, law enforcement, government and corporate clients. We have mountaineering instructors with IMGA and AMGA certifications; expert rock, ice and rescue climbing educators; Red Cross and Wilderness Medical Society Wilderness and Remote First Aid instructors.

Our team provides consulting services that focus on solutions designed to enhance the performance of your most important asset…Your People. We incorporate industry best practices and draw on years of experience to give you the tools needed to get results. Our services include customizable seminars and training in: mindset and goal setting, injury prevention, injury risk assessments and screening tolls, online performance programming delivery platform and metrics tracking and reporting. Since 2005, we have proudly provided training to thousands of special operations forces, elite law enforcement and wilderness professionals.
Our capabilities include, but are not limited to Mountaineering, Altitude Illness/Injuries, ATV/Motorcycle/Snowmobile Operations, Pack Animal Operations, Avalanche Awareness, Rock/Ice Climbing, Rope Rescue, Swift Water Rescue, Survival Training, CPR/Wilderness First Aid, High Angle Shooting and Designated Marksmanship. The Peak Performance Capabilities: Injury Prevention, Injury Rehabilitation and Reconditioning, Mindset and Goal Setting, Nutrition and Performance Training.
The Peak services include, but are not limited to, Pre-Deployment Support, High Altitude Drop Zones, Confined Space Training Area, live Fire Range, MOUT Site, Hangar/Classroom, Human Performance Optimization.
The Peak headquarters, is a 6,000’ aircraft hangar located on the Bert Mooney Airport in Butte, Montana, (C-17 capable,) has a rappelling deck, rock and ice climbing wall, office space and a 32-person classroom. It is available for use as a tactical operations center, exercise headquarters or training facility.
The Peak has three ZARs registered Drop Zones (ZARS Index Numbers 703-706) available for your Military Free-fall, and Static Line operations. Our East Pak DZ, currently the highest registered DZ in North America, is located at 9,875 feet (ZAR Index 703.) The Highland Circular DZ is located at 8,000 feet (ZAR Index 704.) The Peak DZ is located at Bert Mooney Regional Airport at an elevation of 5,540 feet (ZAR Index 706.)
Outfitters permit for the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. We can provide full spectrum logistical support for large-scale exercises to include lodging, transportation, meals and technical training support. We have numerous high-altitude training areas with elevations as high as 11,0000 ft. In addition, we maintain an excellent ongoing relationship and longstanding MOU with MTARNG Training Site Fort Harrison, Helena, MT with access to 30,000 acres of training areas and ranges.
