). This program is managed by the PJ Association on behalf of, and in concert with the current PJ Career Field Manager (CFM).
). The Program Manager (PM) will be a retired USAF PJ CMSgt selected by the CFM and Chiefs group. He will manage buy-ins, collect funds, arrange procurement & standardized engravings, coordinate delivery & presentation, and ensure legal transfer.
). Only currently serving Chiefs and CMSgt Selects are eligible for program participation.
). A total payment of $550 is the current required amount to be paid within 1 year of date of rank (DOR). A two-time payment must be pre-authorized by the PM/CFM.
). Retirees who are overseas or reside in firearm-restricted locations where they cannot legally take possession of the pistol must appoint an alternate point of contact (POC) to maintain the pistol on their behalf.
). If the firearm is to be presented at a specific time/event (ex. Retirement Ceremony or Social), a 60-day minimum notification is necessary and must include a POC, date, time, and location.
). The standard service pistol firearm is an engraved Glock-19 (G19) GEN5 pistol or current GEN.
). This program, established by and for PJ Chiefs, is dedicated to upholding our standards, continuity, and heritage & legacy.
It is not a means to fund personal gun collections, but rather to ensure that every retiring PJ Chief is honored with their service pistol as they conclude their service.
Your participation guarantees that all Chiefs will receive this honor upon retirement.
