Ryan entered the Air Force in 1980 and graduated Pararescue School in class 81-03. He served for 30 years in both rescue and special operations units. In 2003 he became the 2nd Pararescue Career Field Manager.
Ryan’s vision and efforts were integral to the establishment of the Guardian Angel Weapon System to ensure Pararescueman have the training and can develop the equipment to execute our mission effectively in the future.
Ryan J. Beckmann also serves as a Supervisory Chemical Security Inspector at the Office of Infrastructure Protection leading a nationwide force of 190 individuals executing the Department of Homeland Security’s Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Program in efforts to ensure the security of nation’s highest risk chemical facilities.
Mr. Beckmann graduated with the distinction from the United States Air Forces Leadership School, Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, and the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy. Ryan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management (Cum Laude) from the University of Maryland University College in Adelphi, Maryland.
As an officer of the Association, Ryan’s goals are to improve the Associations visibility and ensure the foundation and funding of the Association so we can better care for and enhance camaraderie between members, document our heritage, and ensure the support of our Pararescue family.
